The Ride for Sight itself begins on Sunday, Aug. 4, with a continental breakfast at 6:00 a.m. at the WYDOT HQ (5300 Bishop Blvd). Mass start is scheduled for 6:30 AM.
Riders will have their choice of distances up to a metric century.
Needless to say, you can ride any distance you desire by just turning around at your own convenience.
Riders will find rest stops approximately every 10 miles featuring drinks, fruit, snacks and energy foods, plus toilet facilities. Wrap up the day with a post-ride lunch which will be available until the final rider has cleared the course. Even if you are running really late, we'll package a meal for you!
The Ride for Sight is fully supported with sag wagons, roving mechanics and HAM radio assistance. The route is carefully patrolled and each rider's progress is monitored.
And, it wouldn't be the Ride for Sight without the complimentary commemorative T-shirt, water bottle, meal tickets, and a variety of merchandise prizes! Packets can be picked up Friday August 2, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Rock on Wheels (900 E. Lincolnway); Saturday, August 3 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Bicycle Station (2634 Dell Range Blvd.); or Sunday morning at the registration table in the WYDOT HQ.
Please Remember - Helmets are Mandatory and all riders must start their return to the park by 12:00 noon!
