About Cheyenne Sunrise Lions Ride for Sight & Tour de Donut

Ride for Sight

Ride for Sight

Ride for Sight

The Ride for Sight itself begins on Sunday,  August 2nd, with a continental breakfast at 6:00 a.m. at the WYDOT HQ (5300 Bishop Blvd). Mass start is scheduled for 6:30 AM.

Riders will have their choice of distances up to a metric century.

Needless to say, you can ride any distance you desire by just turning around at your own discretion.
Riders will find rest stops approximately every 8 or 9 miles featuring drinks, fruit, snacks and energy foods, plus toilet facilities. Wrap up the day with a post-ride lunch which will be available until the final rider has cleared the course.  Even if you are running really late, we'll package a meal for you!
The Ride for Sight is fully supported with sag wagons, roving mechanics and HAM radio assistance. The route is carefully patrolled and each rider's progress is monitored.
It wouldn't be the Ride for Sight without the complimentary commemorative T-shirt, water bottle, meal tickets, and a variety of merchandise prizes!  Packets can be picked up Friday July 31 and Aug. 1 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Rock on Wheels (900 E. Lincolnway) or Sunday morning at the registration table at the WYDOT HQ parking lot.
Please Remember - Helmets are Mandatory. All riders must start their return trip to the park by 12:00 noon!

Tour de Donut

Ride for Sight

Ride for Sight

Tour de Donut is taking a ride through a fantasy land inhabited by fairies, gnomes, trolls and ogres. They are out to get your donuts, so be careful. The ride takes place entirely on the Greenway and is an out and back ride of about 5 miles total. Younger riders can turn around at any point. There will lots to see and do with two game stops and donut holes. Donuts will be available at the beginning and turn about spots. You do have to be careful as those trolls on the bridge really want your donuts. Riders will need to be on the alert for the four special signs that will allow them to win a free registration for next year. Cost is $27.50 per family (including $2.50 online registration fee), and money raised helps address vision issues for children and adults. See you at the ride!
